, seven days of of chamber music making on the picturesque Kneisel Hall campus for adult amateur musicians. Players are coached by distinguished Kneisel Hall faculty and Kneisel Hall Young Artist assistants/mentors. Each program includes rehearsals, coachings, master classes, discussions, concerts and performance. This summer we offer for the Large Ensemble Reading the Bloch Concerto Grosso for Strings and Piano.


August 12 - 16, four days - same as above but for people who do not have the time for a full week of music making.

 

We invite you to come by yourself, with a preformed group or just a friend with whom you would like to play. You will spend your time at Kneisel Hall immersed in chamber music.


Sample Day:

You will spend your time at Kneisel Hall immersed in chamber music. The first day of your program begins with a meeting at 6:30 p.m. Dinner will be served afterward in the Dining Hall. After dinner, the library will be open for checking out music to read that evening. Coaching begins on Monday morning. The last day of your program ends with breakfast. There are dormitory accommodations (shared bath) on campus. Some participants rent houses or stay in B&Bs.

Program is for: intermediate to advanced adult amateur violinists, violists, cellists and pianists.

The application fee: $100 (NON-refundable--not credited to tuition--due with application)
