KNEISEL HALL is heir to a rich tradition. I extend to young artists a warm invitation to help continue this tradition: to join us for a summer of dedicated and joyous music making.” -Artistic Director Seymour Lipkin

THE CHAMBER MUSIC SCHOOL is a rigorous seven-week chamber music program for fifty international pre-professional young artists (20 violinists, 9 violists, 14 cellists and 7 pianists). The Chamber School 2012 season is June 24 - August 12, 2012. The summer is divided in two sessions in which each young artist is assigned two pieces. The summer includes rehearsals, coachings, master classes, concerts and performance. Each session concludes with a series of public Young Artist Concerts. The dates for this season are July 14, 16, 17 and August 8, 9,11, 2012.
The small faculty, drawn from major conservatories and universities, work with the young artists. They rehearse each morning, coach ensembles every afternoon and each week present a Festival Concert Friday evening and Sunday afternoon. Below is what a typical day would look like and instructions for applying.
